MAMAS DINING GROUP

bold, cohesive, stylish yet unpretentious - Mamas Dining Group's branding and visual identity aims to be the strong pillar holding together a family of lively venues.

Through tonal cues, a sense of minimalism, the unified story of "Mama" and a sense of cheekiness, the brand encapsulates the homely thread that strings these venues together, whilst giving each one room to express it's own unique personality.

Navigating through the website employs a balance of cool and cozy, and bursts of colour and movement breathe life into the user experience. It invites the viewer to get a sense of each venue in the wave of a mouse - every page feels like a different room in Mama’s house—distinct but unmistakably connected.

KISS & TELL
When creating the branding for Kiss & Tell, I wanted the visual design to capture the feeling of stepping through velvet curtains into low-light—something sensual, a little mysterious, and utterly unforgettable. The logo plays with elegant, bespoke typography to reflect the venue’s refined yet playful spirit.

I wanted the artwork and design to linger with you just as the dining experience should, with a sense of romantic escapism and a cheeky hint of irreverance.
I leaned into surreal collage work, mixing classical sculpture with lush florals, figs, and oysters—a visual metaphor for indulgence, curiosity, and hidden pleasures. Not to mention they are aphrodisiacs....
Everything, from the rich palette to the flirtatious phrasing, is designed to draw you in, to be alluring and slightly seductive. The menu layout was crafted like a love letter: easy to read, with delicate visual rhythm and hierarchy, so the guest feels guided, not overwhelmed.

For the Kiss & Tell website, I focused on creating a digital experience that mirrors the venue’s intimate, indulgent atmosphere. The design is clean but decadent—anchored in soft, creamy tones, refined serif typography, and surrealist imagery that invites exploration. Every element encourages the user to linger. The goal was to seduce, not sell—and I think the site does just that.

HOCHI MAMA
Hochi Mama is lively, bold, flavourful, humble, playful, and unapologetically homely—qualities that inspired a brand identity bursting with personality. Through hand-drawn illustrations, bold imagery, simplistic typography, and high-contrast design, I set out to capture the frisky, spirited energy that defines the Hochi experience.
From web design to promotional collateral and menus, every touchpoint was crafted to reflect the brand’s cheeky charm and cultural soul—infusing the entire dining journey with an extra hit of spice and warmth.

As Hochi has a CBD venue and a Richmond venue, we used colours to decipher the difference, pink for CBD and green for Richmond. This allowed us to communicate through visual cues and allowed the independent venues to still have a sense of their own individual idenitty.

The menu design follows suit. It’s structured and easy to follow, but never sterile. The same custom typefaces and loud accents keep the brand personality front and centre, while the layout is designed to guide diners through the offering without overwhelming. It feels curated, but with a street-food heart.Together, these touchpoints build a brand that doesn’t just tell you what it is—it shows you, in full colour and full volume.
